Mornings in our home always began the same way, with a cup of tea poured by my dad.

Before school, he’d already be in the kitchen, stirring in milk and a generous spoonful of local honey. Generous…but never quite enough for me. After my first sip, I’d almost always ask for more. He’d often say that all that honey was what made me so sweet (haha).

That cup of tea was what pulled me out of bed each morning; the comfort of something warm, familiar, and made with care.

This brand is rooted in those mornings.

In slow rituals. In local care.

And in a lifelong appreciation for the sweetness that bees bring into our lives.

Growing up in Lamont, Alberta, we bought our honey from a small family-run apiary just down the road; big white pails that seemed to last forever. Today, we continue that tradition, sourcing our honey and beeswax from a local apiary run by a couple just outside Elk Island Park.
